Our Story
mShift was founded by insurance professionals who experienced firsthand the operational challenges, data fragmentation, and inefficiencies that plague the industry. We built mShift to solve real problems with practical technology.
The Problem We Saw
Working inside brokerages, MGAs, and carriers, our founding team witnessed the same challenges repeatedly: hours wasted on manual data entry, submissions lost in email chains, inconsistent formats across carriers, and talented professionals spending 40% of their time on administrative tasks rather than strategic work.
We saw an industry rich with expertise but constrained by legacy processes and disconnected systems. We knew there had to be a better way.
The Solution We Built
In 2019, we launched mShift with a clear vision: create a flexible insurance operating ecosystem that combines platform technology, structured data services, enterprise APIs, on-demand operations, and AI-driven automation.
At the core of our platform is the mShift Marketplace and our proprietary mShift Quantum AI Engine, which reads, structures, and normalizes submission data from any format. This transforms unstructured intake into clean, actionable data that flows seamlessly through quoting, underwriting, compliance, and execution workflows.
Today, mShift serves retail brokers, wholesale brokers, MGAs, and carriers, processing millions of submissions and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and speed to market.
