Today, we’re highlighting one of the leaders behind the mShift team. As Chief Technology Officer at mShift, Rich Brown leads our technology strategy with a deep focus on scalability, security, and real-world insurance operations.

Rich brings more than 16 years of experience as a CTO, with a proven track record of building high-volume, high-availability SaaS platforms. His background includes leadership roles at large-scale organizations such as Bank of America, American Express, and SAP America, giving him a strong foundation in enterprise-grade systems and operational rigor.

Over the past 16 months at mShift, Rich has played a key role in advancing our API-driven architecture, strengthening platform usability and performance, and ensuring our technology aligns with how insurance works in practice.

Rich holds an MBA in Information Technology Management and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He partners closely with our sales, operations, and support teams to bridge modern engineering with day-to-day insurance workflows.
